What you want

What if what you want is just wrong? So wrong that you wonder if someone just heard you think. Someone with a gun who can point it in your face if they so choose.

I want things that don’t make any sense. I’ve long since stopped wondering why, but it pickles my brain every now and then.

I’ve found ways to accept my wants. To ask for them. To find them appealing even when others do not.

I never ignore the want. I have no intentions of bottling up my urges.

I got what I wanted this week. The wrongness felt wrong. The acceptance came with quiet contempt and some disappointment. I’m used to disappointing people. But rarely do I disappoint myself.

I need to go away and find people who want what I want.

Life is strange.
