Beware

Beware the teenager
without any hobbies
who seems to be busy but nothing ever sticks

The jack of some trades
Enough opportunity
To build skill and deception
Cutting corners to fit.

Beware the mind
That saw peaceful as golden
But was constantly taught
Idle hands were a sin

Looking out for attention
But only at the right parts
Hoping nobody noticed
That human within.

Beware the lassie
With no place called home
The ‘nomad’ smile
It’s all that she knows

Sleeping rough sleeping light
A sofa, bed or floor
A week a month
Then on to the next show.

Beware the woman
Who never knows why
She takes time to consider
Everything caught up in her eyes.

Anxiety and depression
Litter the mind and her stories and charm make the shadows lose time.
