The french

Always have such excellent ways of saying things.

Le Joie de vie (the joy of life)

L’appel de Vide (the call of the void)
Ce n’est pas la mer à boire (its not the end of the world)
sachez que chaque matin vous ne pouvez pas durer la journée et chaque soir vous ne pouvez pas durer la nuit (be aware each morning that you may not last the day, and each evening you may not last the night)

The French have words such as ‘obscurite’ for ‘darkness’!

Maybe they have a phrase for splashing and spluttering about in the deep end of life never quite keeping your head above water.

I’m sure it sounds so much better than in English.
