“don’t trust the police” ?

You may have seen a video like this.

Here’s my pennie’s worth…

You can’t take away what this video shows. Whether before or after, this man did wrong, this violence seems unnecessary on the part of the police officer and I’m sure the person who actually harmed this man has been dealt with given that this is both viral and that there are many witnesses.
Sadly though this shouldn’t mean people don’t trust the police. Corruption happens everywhere and anyone with a JOB knows that people don’t always do their job properly.
Yes in this situation a man’s being assaulted and this is not right. But before any judgement need be made, why dont the keyboard warriors on this post put themselves in the police officers shoes. Imagine being assaulted by a criminal and then expected to be calm and polite to someone spitting at you/hitting you. It’s hard. And maybe this time this officer’s emotions got the better of him.
And for anyone who says ‘he shouldn’t be a police officer then’, well who should be then???? Police can’t be cold calm individuals all the time. They wouldn’t have gone into a thankless underpaid government job if they were.
I’d want to know what this man did to make the officer do that. Then you can begin to look at how to prevent it happening again.
Saying “don’t trust the police” because of it is a petty and uneducated response.

I know of hundreds of people who have been treated badly by police because of their own experiences and every single one of them was down to their behavior towards to officer in the first place or the fact they BROKE THE LAW.
Yes there will be situations where mistakes were made: officers are HUMANS not ROBOTS. Educate and rehabilitate not sensationalise or judge. What good does this video do? Are people gonna start overthrowing the government? No 😆 we can’t even get half the country to vote for their own future 😆🤷. nobody here complaining appears to evidence they’ve done anything other than voice their opinion and opinions are like assholes- everyone’s got one.
