No vaccine?

So I’m gonna start here with, I had no vaccines. I’m gonna move onto: I’m not gonna spit theories and names and dates of why you should or shouldn’t. Just give my own theory on the topic (so many have them)

We all know about herd immunity (and if you don’t and don’t want to vaccinate then at least read up on it first), so what happens if the immunity of others starts to inhibit you own families immunity? Well parents of small babies won’t go anywhere, and they’ll question anyone that comes to the door with a cold. I actually remember my mum’s friends being like this when I was 5; making you wash your hands before coming into the living room where her prescious cherub sat. Not that I’m saying making sure everyone washes their hands will stop the measles, just that people will be more cautious.

Secondly there will be school restrictions. But only once the first child dies from contracting some disease from another child in school. Im sure this will not be in the near future, parents will spend years lobbying to get vaccinations made compulsory to access schools. Private schools will become more popular for younger children as they might jump on the bandwagon first to make a bit of cash.

Eventually there will be schools for kids who are vaccinated and who arent.

Its an easy answer for the government, who are already defending calls from teachers and parents due to the low level disruption too many kids with no manners or discipline produce.

Why? Well, Theres a general consensus that Frederik Woodhouse from the Cotswolds will probably vaccinate his kids because he doesn’t have Facebook and even if he did, he might conclude that the Autism link is just a pleasant bonus. He probably has a consistent supportive parenting style anyway. He will speak well and possible have friend whose a doctor who can help him educate himself properly. He might question and research, he might make sure his medical insurance is up to date just in case something goes wrong. His gentle polite child may already go to private school.

Whereas Janet from 81c pikey street, has a degree from the University of Wikipedia and already finds kids a nightmare, doesn’t know how to speak to them yet had 4 of them and was born in an uneducated household herself and is angry that shes just found out there were risks to vaccines (wait till she finds out paracetamol isn’t 100% safe either). She may also leave the handle of the frying pan facing outwards and let the cat climb into the cot, both things with higher likelihood of danger than a vaccine. But that’s her choice to endanger her kid, the fact that the government want to, she be ragin’. She thinks school is just childcare anyway and that bugs going round is just a fact of life (ironic huh). Janet’s views are passed onto her kids because she doesn’t see a problem with it. They probably don’t have much respect or discipline, which she puts down to ‘letting them be themselves’ when in actual fact she’s just jumped on a band wagon that’s allowed her to abstain from bringing up her children properly.

Janet’s kid will eventually go to a state school for no vaccines. It will be mayhem. Lots of undisciplined kids under the same roof. Professional teachers will reduce in those schools, the government will have bailed out Virgin airways and won’t have money for incentive. These schools will become daycare centres with basic skills teaching. These children won’t have the education of other kids, the education system will no longer be Getting It Right For Every Child or No Child Left Behind depending on which side of the border you are. Janet will complain. An exasberated government official wont bother trying to explain it’s reasoning to Janet, they will placate her and put her into a group of those who cannot be helped, masqueraded as a support system.

Let’s face it, society likes groups. We cant treat everyone the same. We also cant support everyone because you are taking their choices and rights away. Inclusion should be a choice not mandatory. The right choices are made by those who are educated enough to rationalise. But choice is subjective anyway. And you can’t educate everyone.
